Ralph heeft drie technologie-golven van dichtbij meegemaakt: dot-com, het SMAC-platformtijdperk, en nu de AI-versnelling. In elke golf zag hij hetzelfde patroon terugkeren. Organisaties die de transitie als adoptievraag behandelden raakten achter. Organisaties die de transitie als architecturale vraag behandelden bouwden voorsprong die zich uitbetaalt over decennia.

In 2024 begon hij aan The Platform Choice om dat patroon te benoemen. Het boek is geen managementhandboek. Het is een uitnodiging aan Nederlandse en Europese CFO's en finance-leiders om de keuze tussen bewoner en architect bewust te maken, voordat de AI-cyclus die keuze voor hen maakt.

Hij is oprichter van 71 Consulting, het imprint waaronder de Platform Series verschijnt, en partner bij BQuiver B.V., een AI-native adviespraktijk. Hij woont en werkt in Hilversum.

Ralph has lived through three technology transitions at close range: dot-com, the SMAC platform era, and now AI acceleration. In each wave he watched the same pattern recur. Organisations that treated the transition as an adoption question fell behind. Organisations that treated it as an architectural question built advantages that compound across decades.

In 2024 he began writing The Platform Choice to name that pattern. The book is not a management handbook. It is an invitation to Dutch and European CFOs and finance leaders to make the choice between inhabitant and architect deliberately, before the AI cycle makes that choice for them.

He is the founder of 71 Consulting, the imprint under which the Platform Series appears, and a partner at BQuiver B.V., an AI-native advisory. He lives and works in Hilversum.
